I joined the art group exhibition "Segno(Photography, Illustration, Fashion) 11/11/2011, during the presentation of  Mezzomagazine new issue, at Ottovolte a suggestive restaurant in Francavilla al Mare. I just received my own copy of Taschen's  Diary + Tear-off Calendar 2012 from Illustration Now!3 serie. It's a real honor to be involved for the second year in a row in this project. 

Roses EP/ The Silures (Citizen Records)


I was commissioned by Citizen Records to create an illustration for the new EP by The Silures (Vitalic + Linda Lamb & Mount Sims), titled "Roses". It will be released in November 2011). Citizen Records is a french music label, based in Dijon founded by the electronic music artist Vitalic .

The Creators Project

Computer Arts #193 / Tutorial


I was commissioned by Computer Arts magazine (Future Publishing) to make a tutorial on how to create a repeating pattern with a specific workflow or technique benefit. Few time ago I was interviewed by Juan José Moya (Director) of  STAF Magazine. It's a free independent magazine and publishing house based in Málaga (Spain), focus on independent culture, surf & skate board culture, art, music, photography, books...since 1997. 

Keith Haring: the Milwaukee Mural


The National Archaeological Museum of Abruzzo  "La Civitella" in Chieti is hosting an exhibition that reflects on the relationship between contemporary and ancient art. It is highlighted by a colossal work – thirty meters long and two and a half meters high – made by the U.S. artist Keith Haring in 1983 to celebrate the opening of  the Haggerty Museum in Milwaukee.

And so, until 19 February 2012, for the first time in Italy – thanks to the collaboration with the Patrick and Beatrice Haggerty Museum of Art – we will be able to see the twenty-four wooden panels executed by the artist in April 1983, magnificent works which condensate all the figurative language of his original and personalised iconography. 

Mural of Milwaukee is a great masterpiece, painted on both sides. On one side, there is an uninterrupted sequence of crawling babies at the top, while at the bottom there is a series of barking dogs. On the other side of the wall, the narration is more complex and animated with different characters, icons of Haring’s poetics: dancing figures inspired to break-dancers, among which there is a television with wings, a dog and a man with a snake’s head. In the centre of the mural there is a dancer who has a television for his head with the number 83 drawn on the monitor, while on the right, another symbolic image of the graffiti genius stands out: the face with three eyes sticking its tongue out. 

“The mural has been given particular importance because it was realised at the beginning of the artist’s career when his style reflected all the freshness of the drawings of New York’s underground” – explains Curtis L. Carter in the exhibition catalogue, evoking those frantic days of realisation of the work.

30 years ago Bob Marley died (1946-1981). The last words he spoke were to his son Ziggy. They were 'Money can't buy life'. This artwork i made in 2008 was inspired by his words. We miss you Bob , R.I.P.

Happy 150th Anniversary of the unification of Italy

In 1861, after the wars waged against the Austrians and once the Garibaldi expedition to Sicily was completed, the long period of political and military fights leading Italy to unification was over. On the 17th March of that year the national unity was proclaimed in Torino, which became the first capital city of Italy.


During the Risorgimento (The Resurgence), the city took in the exiles from all over the country. They had developed a common unitarian aspiration and here they designed the political strategy that would result into the unification of the country. Therefore, the new history of Italy, indipendent and united, initiated from Torino on the 17th March one and a half century ago. The city would be the capital for four years until 1865, when the centrality of the Government of the Kingdom moved to Florence. Rome became the final capital city, from 1871, when the unification of the country was fully completed.
